Can't connect to wifi that requires browser authentication

The wifi network at my university is one of those that requires you to sign-in via a web browser before you can surf. I am currently unable to connect to this network with my Note. When I try to connect to this network and open the browser, the browser just sits idly and won't take me to the authentication screen. (In contrast, if I try this with a laptop, I get the sign-in screen.) Anyone else having this issue or know of a solution?

Menu-> "New Window" works for me.

Thanks for the tip. It actually worked tonight, so maybe it was just a temporary problem.

A new window forces it to try the internet instead of reading the last page from the cache, I guess.
