Can't Copy and Paste an Image?

It's very easy to copy a picture to email or text. Go to the photo app and click on a picture. In the upper right hand corner click on the 3 dots. Choose share, they'll take you to several options. Click on where u want to copy it to and it's be there.

That will only attach the picture, not insert it into, say, an email app or a text message.

Its the beginning of 2019 and there is still NO option to do this in any apps?

The only way I found to do this is ... you have to save or download the image or use your gallery, then open whatever email program (Gmail, Yahoo, etc) in your internet browser/chrome (not email app). But you have to make sure you have your email opened with a web page opened in DESKTOP site/mode. From there you can insert a picture instead of attaching it (for gmail don't click the paperclip icon, click the "picture" icon) but boy, what a hassle. It's easy just not very quick or convenient. Why is this still not an option for android users in 2019?
