Cant delete app?

I have a Samsung galaxy s3 and i have had it for about 1 year. Sadly a form of adware got on my phone. i tried to delete but it said i couldn't so then i tried to remove device administrator but whenever i unchecked it, it exited out of the apps. I really cant factory reset... help?

Has the app inserted itself in the Administrators? If so, try booting into Safe Mode. In theory no 3rd party apps can boot there, unless you specifically open them.

More info may help someone to help you.....What is your operating system..O/S ? Android Kitkat...Lollipop?
How does the adware manifest itself.....can you provide a screenshot ?
Do you use any security app....anti-virus prog/scanner.....AVG..Bitdefender....Malwarebytes, so on and so forth ? Do you use a cleaner regularly....CCleaner/Ancleaner etc.?
