Alright so weird problem. Got my Nexus 4 last week and I just started to fully customizing it and such so I go to google to get a wallpaper but +I can't download a full sized picture from the internet onto my phone. Example, say I go to google images and search for Yellowstone national park. Select a decent sized picture, 1600x1200, and download it from the source so I'm not getting the preview, actually at the full size image which I know is full sized because I can double tap to zoom in fully. Hold down my finger, select save image. Then when I go to my gallery, it's only 305x228!
Some things I'm using that may or may not be relevant:
--Dolphin browser (which I had on my HTC one x+ and never had this problem).
--Don't think this is relevant but I also am using Nova launcher...which as it's name implies in a launcher and shouldn't affect download image quality.
--Downloading these picture over 3G since I don't have wifi where I am.
Note that it's not setting a wallpaper that's giving me problems, it's getting the image in the first place. Only choice I have right now is to DL to desktop and transfer via USB which is a pain if I want to get a picture on the go.
Anyone know what's causing it and how to fix? Thanks.
