Can't establish reliable connection to the server

Get the error "can't establish reliable connection to the server" every time I try to use a Google app, I have wiped the cache of Google play services and framework, tried flashing different Gapps, and tried hard resetting, but it still wont work. Any Ideas?

I'm also facing the same issue.
As mentioned in several posts, I've tried factory-reset, youtube trick and login from some different account but no luck at all. Is there any other work around ? I've even tried a different Wi-Fi Network, but still the same issue persists.

Have you tried using your N7 on a different WiFi network? It sounds like the router is causing this problem, not the N7. Try a friend's WiFi network to see if you get the same results. If a different network works normally, try rebooting your router. If that doesn't work, then likely there is a setting on the router that is blocking the connection. The easiest thing to do at that point might be to reset your router to default settings.

Hit up root explorer go to the etc folder long press the file named host then open in text editor. You'll find two lines of text both beginning with IP addresses just through a hash tag before the second line like this.
127.0.0.1 local host
#127. So on and so forth. Save and exit then try logging in.

I tried EVERYTHING cache clear data clear factory settings i was ready to change rom..but i found that:

for me the method 2 worked well!

If you have a rooted phone, download AdAway.apk. Install it and activate it, afterwards deactivate it and you should be ready go.
This worked for me.
