Cant find how to set up a default calendar on my new Xiaomi Mi A1

[Android Central Question]

So here is the problem:
I have recently switched to a new phone, Xiaomi Mi A1. I have multiple google calendars, my own and shared with family and friends. This one app that i use persists to add appointments that i set in the app to the friends calendar instead of to my privet one. I tried to reinstall the app twice (maybe more) but it didn`t work, the app asks for a permission to access my calendar but sets the meetings in the friends calendar. Now they all getting notifications about my classes.
I have tried to get in contact with the app support team, but they did not have anything operative for me except for "look into your settings". I cant understand if the problem is in my phone or in the app. On my old phone, Nexus5, everything worked great.

It would seem that the sharing feature you enabled is linked to the other. Dig deep into the settings, try to find where you can turn off the sync for your private calendar to your friends.
While not a perfect solution, you could use a separate Gmail addy/account for one or the other. Good luck.
