I can't find my drives pluged into the USB port. I know that my tablet is recoginizing them because I can play my music stored on them. I'm using File Manager HD. I just need help navigating to where they are located

Try Blue Tooth File Transfer, its easier to use than File Manager HD, which is better again for other functions like creating new folders and renaming folders, I use both depending on what I'm trying to achieve..
It is easy to see all of you files & drives, move files around plus Blue Tooth File transfer is very easy to transfer files from the laptop to the Iconia & from the Evo to the Iconia and visa versa.

Heck, I can't find the /mnt folder. Both my thumb dive and hard drive are fat32.

Do you see the external USB drive in Menu>Settings>Storage? It should be listed beneath your SD card, if any is installed. Try going to /mnt/usb_storage and see if you can find your files there.

If that doesn't work or you don't see it, download "USB Mount All" from the market by Interphaze Solutions and it should detect it, then click on Mount and it should be available to view in File Manager HD then. That may be the issue (not mounted).

Ok, so I see usb storage in settings. My problem is I can't find /mnt in my file manger.

Ha, there it is! My problem was I kept going to storage in HD File Manager. I needed to go up one folder to get to/mnt. Working great now.

Took me at least a week to find it and I couldn't find any info anywhere and when I bought my Acer I don't think there were hardly any forums about it.

I am having same problem .. although I was able to locate the folders mentioned above but didn't find anything there ...as fumetsu wrote above to download the ntfs fix ....I did that still can't c my drive here ...pls some one help here I am a newbie on the android platform ...but I am still an little expert in codding ...but android is whole new platform for me ...

I had trouble at first as well, but that was mostly because I was new to Android and the whole enchilada looked weird, lol. I use File Manager HD as well and all you need to do id clicking Storage on the left and then on the UP ^ arrow at the too and there you will see "USB_storage" (no ".net" on mine). Works great and no need to have multiple file manager apps!
