Hi. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7.

I have downloaded some videos from an app. When i click on My Files, i can see the videos under the Download arrow, under Catagories. When i go to the Download Folder, they are not there.

I went to a specific video, clicked properties, and found that they have been saved under Android/data/then the file name.

I went to this extension, and found the file!! However, they are 0 bytes; completely blank.

The video's have obviously been downloaded somewhere, since i can play them.

Thanks for any input.

Some apps will hide your downloads. For instance Barns&Noble hides my downloads in a secret folder somewhere. I could never find those downloads, but they play OK. What app are you referring to?

Install Total Commander. Use its search function to search for the file, starting with as high up the folder chain you can get (/ if the phone is rooted, internal storage if it isn't). If you see more than 1 instance, the one with the size is the real one. (If, for some reason, you don't have read rights in Android/data/, you won't see a file size (or any information about the file), but the app will still be able to run it.)

If the file is stored in the app's folder, you won't find it unless the phone is rooted. It will be in /data/data/<the app's folder>/probably some sub-directory under that. If the phone isn't rooted, you won't see anything in /data - you don't have read rights in there. (The app has read rights [and write and execute rights] in its folders.)

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, select the app you're using to download the videos, then go to Permissions, and make sure Storage permission is turned on.
