Can't get Android apps on the watch

So, no surprise - it's NOT an Android device. Odd that it is even in this forum.

Am I wrong? Am I limited to the lame choice of Galaxy apps?

It's on the forum mainly due to it can be used with an Android device; similar to Pebble, and Fitbits.

As for apps...I think you are limited to apps from Samsung app store. The watch is Tizen, and not compatible with the apk structure for Android.

Unfortunately officially, this watch can only run Galaxy apps.

There might be a method to root and install Android wear in the future as with the gear s3, but that is no guarantee it will come for this watch and also obviously not officially supported by Samsung.
