Can't get any rom to boot on HTC Evo 4g

Hi, my Evo 4g is rooted.(Unrevoked), I would like to try some of the many new Roms. I've tried Cyanogenmod 7. It downloads with rom manager & installs, but won't boot into the new Rom. Samething with Fress 3.5.0.1. Installs and boots to the Evo 4g screen, then just stays there. I gave it an hour, but still same screen. Any guidance would be appreciated.

and read up. ROM Manager can sometimes be flaky when flashing ROM's - here you will find instructions on how to flash ROM's manually. It's much more reliable.
