Can't get homescreen to stay portrait s9+

[Android Central Question]

So I just noticed last night that my s9+ rotates to landscape mode even though I have portrait mode only enabled. When this happens, the right side of the screen is blank, and a bunch of apps are cut off. I recently updated the phone and only just noticed this, any ideas?
