I want to thank everyone who helped me. I am formatting the card right now and we will see how that goes. Hopefully it will work. Thanks again.
It sounds like the whole rom didn't fully load. If you're not able to flash one of your backups to get your phone to a working state... use the MR1 RUU.
Here: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!
It will put your phone back to stock and replace any files that are missing and you will still be rooted. You load it through hboot. Same thing as flashing a radio file. Rename the zip file to pg05img and place it on the root of the sd card.. boot into hboot.. fastboot.. and the file will load up returning your phone back to factory conditions but you will still keep root access. From there on... any roms you decide to flash, use Clockworkmod recovery through ROM Manager... don't use the install from zip command in ROM Managers app.. its known to cause problems.

Delete the pg05img zip from the sd card when you're done.

Can you confirm that it says s-off at the top of the screen when you are in hboot? As opposed to s-on.
Nvm I guess if you can get to recovery thru hboot you most likely have s off. Not sure what you should try. You don't think you have time before the.phone reboots to flash a new ROM cleanly? Nope I guess since you could not restore the backup. You may want to try to unroot, but this may be premature at the moment. It's late and I've been drinking, let me think about it and maybe someone else will have something![]()
Reading this is making my head spin... I guess to jump back into this I have a couple question...
Are you still stuck???
Can you at least get the hboot screen???
If you can get to the hboot screen, what ROM do you want to load???
What's on your SD card now??? Sounds like you have a PG05IMG.zip file on there already... and that is probably what causing your problems.
I renamed the file that I put on there to restore my phone to stock that the moderator gave me (no longer pg05img) and the clockworkmod folder.
Is there a way I can get the phone to say s-on? I am thinking of just trying to take it back.
s-on = not rooted... use http://forums.androidcentral.com/thunderbolt-rooting-roms-hacks/72524-procedure-how-root-thunderbolt-adb-windows.html#post786138... post #3.
Ok, Thank you! I read the whole post and it looks like I will have to get my phone to turn on to do some of the things. Could I just download the file PG05IMG_Mecha_VERIZON_WWE_1.12.605.6_Radio_1.16.00 .0223r_NV_8k_1.41_9k_1.64_release_174685_signed.zi p
and then place it on the root of my sd card with a card reader, rename it to pg05img, and then go into hboot...check fastboot...and update?
Hopefully that made sense.
OK, I'm almost at the end of my knowledge and you might need someone else... I've never unrooted my phone. It does look like you have to boot the device up to get it to unroot the phone... so you might need to flash some type of ROM to get your phone back up.
Just so you know... the MR1 RUU (pg05img.zip) that I had you flash in hboot is the first file out of the two that you need to flash to unroot the phone back to stock. I saw that someone posted this link for you: [HOWTO] Restore to stock for root users and non-root users UPDATED 5/17/2011 - xda-developers
What I gave you is the first part of that procedure (brings you back to stock) the second zip unroots you back to s-on.
I'm surprised the MR1 RUU didn't fix your phone.. good luck.. if I think of anything else I'll let you know but that should have wiped your phone clean. You were saying something about maybe having a corrupt file on the sd card. Can you delete everything off of the card (put it on your computer for now) and try the zip I gave you again.
It is making my head spin too and making me want to pull my hair out as well.I am still stuck and have no clue where to go. I can get to hboot screen, just can't go into recovery anymore after formatted my card. I really don't care what ROM. I wouldn't even mind unrooting and starting over if possible. I just want my phone back. The problem with the ROM is I can't get into recovery anymore (red triangle with exclamation point) and even if I did, it reboots on me automatically after about 15 seconds in recovery. I also don't have enought time to do a factory reset (starts rebotting after about 15 seconds). The only thing that it will let me do is the update from fastboot with the pg05img file. For some reason I can stay on the hboot screen all day.
Thank you for taking this up again for me.
