I have had my Note 7 since last Sunday...I switched over to the Textra today then tried Google Messanger. Now I am getting notifications saying "Can't get MMS, Check settings>MMS>APNs (tap to retry).
I have no idea why I am getting this, I have had some group texts earlier in the day that worked fine. I switched back from Google Messanger to Textra and still got the notification.
Any help / advice is appreciated.

What carrier are you on? There's settings in Textra that allow you to choose your max file size for MMS. If it's set to something larger than your carrier's limits it won't send.

At&t...I saw that "carrier send limit 1MB. The thing is I'm not trying to send anything when I get the notification. My phone vibrates, I think I'm getting a text. Instead it a message saying I can't get MMS.

Were you receiving them before using Textra?

So I installed Textra today, no issues. Worked fine sending group texts to family. Then I decided to try google messenger, several hours later I started getting the "can't get MMS" message. I made Textra My default message app again & uninstalled google messenger. But I still got 1 on Textra

Try uninstalling the new text apps (Textra, Google Messenger). See if you get MMS working on the stock Messages app, then re-add what you want (Textra is great).

I had an issue a while back on my Note 5 on Verizon just like this. I tried all kinds of APN things. Then I just uninstalled Textra. The MMS worked fine on Stock, then I re-installed Textra, and it worked fine there too.

Edit: Drats, I just noticed you tried this already (for the most part)...

I have the same issue.tried different apps. Default textra, chomp. On att

I also noticed that if i check for software updates(system) it gave me some sim card error. I clicked it too quickly to actually read the error.

When check sim status under settings it says "mobile network state: disconnected"

I got my phone at bestbuy think they missed something during setup?

Go into textra and tic the manually configure APN. From there check and ensure the app is seeing the proper information for MMS.

I have not received that message since last night. Again, I uninstalled google messenger and made textra my texting app. After doing that, I only got one of those messages saying I could not get MMS (not sure if I only got those when people were trying to send me a MMS or not). Anyway, I'm hoping this issue is fixed.
Thanks for all the responses.
