Cant get my A1 smartwatch from Amazon to connect to my LG V40?

[Android Central Question]

Hey guys so I bought the A1 Chinese smartwatch from Amazon and it seems to work fine, but I cant get it to connect to my phone. I can pair them and they pick eachother up but wont connect for me to get notifications or it will disconnect after a short period. I cannot find the correct BT Notifier/notification app in the google play store. The watch worked on my friends samsung phone....but is having trouble connecting on mine. Any help or info is appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! What's the exact brand name and model number of the watch? Did it come with any documentation, or can you find any on the web/ These direct-from-China smartwatches often require you to download their app from some website (and not from the Play Store), and if so, they should've given instructions on how to do so in the manual.
