I'm having the exactly same problem with my galaxy nexus.

so that I don't need to repeat what I wrote there.
It's a big problem for me ; (
also if anyone knows about usb more than I do here is the kernel.log of my computer when I plug the nexus.

What do mean that you can't use the warranty? If your saying that because you're unlocked and rooted, don't worry about it. Nobody really cares if you rooted, and plenty of rooted devices have been replaced through Verizon. If you're saying that because you bought the phone used from someone, then you could always call Samsung and send it in for repair. Beats having a paper weight if you can't get this fixed.

I'm in the same boat. It's completely unresponsive to any inputs or connections. The PC won't connect, it won't boot into the bootloader or recovery. It doesn't respond to volume up/down/power. I tried two ac chargers, two car chargers and two USB cables. I've done multiple battery pulls. The only thing I haven't been able to change is the battery. I guess my next stop is the VZ store to try another battery.

No, I mean that I bought it in Germany and I'm in Brazil. Samsung informed me that I need to ship it to the store that I purchased it and I dont have the invoice because customs kept it. Im trying to get a new copy but don't have high hopes. Plus it would take months to solve it. Samsung support also told me that even if I want to pay for the repair they can't do it, acording to them, they can't get the replacement parts because it's different from the galaxy nexus produced here(it is the same by the way, just a different name Galaxy X). If I get the invoice I will try to send it overseas.
