Could anyone tell me the sure fire way to get to the menu to wipe the cache partition? I'm going from power off phone to holding vol up and power down but the phone just starts normally.
How long are you supposed to hold down for? Any other tips?
Any advice gratefully received.

As soon as you see the Android logo you let go of both buttons and in a second or two later it brings you to the menu.

Odd. Try again... Make sure you do a full power down... wait 10-20 seconds to be sure, hold the power and up volume at same time til logo and let go. Good luck.

I thought new phones have the A/B partition system now and Google removed the wipe cache option form that menu?

Don't know about that, but the wipe option was still there and I managed to clean the cache.

Samsung never joined that trend of seamless updates/dual partitions. Even new models still use the old partition system.

Yeah, seems like some of us have to do this and some don't. Hopefully a good tip for anyone else struggling with it.

Curious.. Snapdragon machine or exynos? Carrier? Wondering if either could make the difference.
