I upgraded my S24U to the S26U. I just went into pwd manager and when trying to view a stored pwd it asks for my fingerprint (excellent) but then it asks me to verify a code sent to my S24U. How do I stop that from happening, as I'm about to return the S24U to complete the trade in process.

Is it a specific Password manager? If so, you'd have to check within its settings to see which devices/accounts are active for 2 Factor authorization. If it's a Samsung Service, it should use all your signed-in devices with your Samsung Account (which you can check within the Samsung Account settings in your phone). For the latter, signing out of the S24U would effectively remove it as a 2FA device. I wouldn't do that (or return it) until you've made sure the new device is properly registered as a 2FA device for said code.

It's not a specific password. If, through Chrome, I go to the pwd manager and search for any pwd, it asks to verify who I am. First the fingerprint (which it did on the S24U). Then it sends a code to the S24U and asks me to verify what was on the old phone. It's a Google service, I believe, and not Samsung.

I've been holding on to the old one to make sure the S26U works accurately. Do you think I need to remove the account from the S24U and test?

I've never used Chrome's Password Manager, but if I open its settings, I don't see anything about 2FA (there's an option to enable/disable on-device encryption, but not 2FA). Is your Google Account added to the new phone? Are you trying to use a password or a passkey (the latter is created per device, so you'd have to create a new one for the new device)?

Account is on new device. The way pwd manager has worked for well over a year now is use a passkey (fingerprint) and then it asks to verify account pwd. Today, after passkey, it said check the S24U to verify the code.
