Can't link Twitter to Instagram

Hi I've been trying for a few mths now to connect my two accounts, I've read Liezette's comment which as I've seen has been very helpful for everyone who commented but unfortunately I don't have any special characters in my password I have 6 letters & 2 numbers in my password & both my passwords are exactly the same, so I don't understand why they're not connecting .. I don't get any error msg whatsoever when I click authorize app nothing happens ??? if anybody knows how to fix this id be grateful many thanks

I have exactly the same problem I click on authorize app and nothings happens. I don't have any special characters in my password only letters and numbers.

One solution: My Verify Login Requests setting was the problem. Try going to https://twitter.com/settings/security after logging in and see if “Verify login requests” is checked. If so, uncheck that, scroll to the bottom to save your settings. Go into your Instagram app, tap the link at the top right that looks like a bar of three dots. You should be in the Options screen. Scroll down to Settings section, the tap on Linked Accounts. Tap on Twitter and enter your username and password. It paused for a moment, but then redirected me back to the Linked Accounts page and showed Twitter as linked now! Hope it helps!

BUFFER USERS, Buffer's most recent update(s) has a setting that brings up an In overlay any time you copy an Instagram link. When you try to relink your Instagram account to Twitter with this option enabled, it will cause authorization to fail with "An unknown error occurred" and the overlay doesn't even show giving you a clue as to why it failed.
Rest assured, disable the feature in Buffer and you'll be able to relink your Twitter account

What if Buffer isn't even installed on your phone?
