Can't pair Galaxy S9+ with Ford sync

[Android Central Question]

Not able to pair,
the phone is not able to find Ford sync...
I did all steps as for previous S7 version.
I had no problem to pair Galaxy s7 last year.
Any updates are needed to be done to Ford sync?

I'm having the same issue. I just upgraded from the Galaxy S7 to the Galaxy S9 Plus. No problems whatsoever pairing any phone weather be Samsung, iPhone, Alcatel, Motorola. But for some reason 9 plus will pair it will connect but it's a very end of the process when it shows my phone's name it says pairing failed and then it goes back to line in. I have done a master reset I have installed the latest update there are currently no devices paired. My next step is to go to Ford and have them try to do it. I have a 2013 Ford Fusion S. Any assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated thank you.

You need to update sync... you can pay a dealer $100+ or do it yourself.
