Can't receive or send picture messages?

Have Sansung Galaxy y but can't seem to be able to send pictures:-\

You should reboot your phone. Reboot of phone can erase all your contacts & messages. Save them some where else before rebooting.

Just for future reference, rebooting is turning the phone off, then turning it back on - but without actually turning the power off. All it does is force the phone (or any computer) to reload the operating system from scratch. (The OS has to be loaded from storage to RAM every time a computer is turned on.)

Maybe you meant reflashing the ROM - which is BAD advice if the user doesn't know exactly what he's doing. It could result in a permanently unusable phone.

Usually you need to have pic messages added on to your tarrif as a extra. But some phone send a link for the pic to be viewed. Alternatively send it to there e-mail address if you know it

Could I recommend whsts app or any closed instant messenger? MMS is expensive.

my phone does the same thing when my mobile data thingy is turned off........go to settings, then data usage, and make sure the box beside "mobile data" is checked.

I did this and mine is off. Turned it on Hope it works ty

So, lets say you're on your phone. Have Data off. Receive a MMS. Turn Data on. See the message and then (1 of 2 things): A. receive/download the message or B. just ignore the message and then turn Data off.

Long time later, you still get the same notification that the picture is ready to download.
Also to boot, everytime you send or receive a text, the same damn thing keeps popping up.

Had same problem. Turned off WiFi and turned Data on. That solved the problem for me with my LG Android. Hope it does the same for you.

Can't send or receive pictures using Messages. This just happened right after the Marshmallow update. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone AT&T using Net10 services. Any ideas?

If you are using a carrier like Tracfone or net 10, etc., then you may need to turn off your wi-fi. I think these types of companies require you to use your mobile data for these types of messages.

My cell phone is an Android smartphone and it was sending and receiving pictures fine until a couple of months ago. I looked at one of the comments and please let me know how to reboot my cell phone so that I can get it back for I have So Many pictures of my Grandchildren that my mother would love to see.
