I have android 12 and i have a pin lock screen enabled. I want to remove it but when i go to lock screen and screen lock type i enter my pin and see no option to delete, remove or none?
There is no way to remove the pin setting?

You should be able to set it a swipe to unlock which removes any security feature. Don't do this though unless there is going to be no personal data on the device at all.

Do you have Google Pay or some other tap-to-pay set up? If so, that requires some kind of screen lock, and it might not let you delete it. Or, if the phone is set up for work, there may be a security policy installed on the phone that requires a screen lock.

Doesn't device encryption also require a PIN code? Most phones that came with Android 12 and newer had encryption enabled by default, didn't they?

This short video shows them leaving the pin blank then hitting enter and getting the option for "none".

See if this works for you.

Be aware however that if you want to use a banking app, Google Pay or Samsung Pay they will not work without an enabled lock on the device.

Best wishes
