I've searched EVERYWHERE and am stumped!!

Don't know the account on the device. It's currently locked in kids mode. I'm trying to reset to factory settings. However, when I press Power+Volume Up+Home, the Samsung logo appears, goes away, then appears again and the device powers off. If I let go of the power button at any time, the device just does a reboot. I've watched videos of people only using Power+Volume Up, some letting go of Power once the first logo appears. I've tried literally everything and cannot figure out how to get to the reset screen with the Android dude on it so I can reset.

Please help!!!

BTW, I'm a teacher on the west side of Indy and have numerous tablets that we've done this to. However, I tried it on my own device at home (same model) and got the same results.

You are meant to press those buttons when the device is off. Be warned, if you don't have the account details associated with that device, you won't get back in

I'm aware that the device needs to be off. That's why/how the Samsung logo appears when pressing the buttons at the same time. Like I said, we've done this with numerous devices, but this one will not display the menu to reset.

Try this method instead
From a home screen, select Apps (Located at the bottom when viewed in portrait or at the upper right in landscape.)
From the Apps tab, select Settings.
Select Back up and reset.
Select Factory data reset.

Make sure the Volume Up is working in kid mode.
To acess Recovery Mode you need Power, Volume Up and Home buttons pressed at the same time, without Home button it won't work. You may try few times as this is the only way to reset. Switching from Kid mode to standard mode requires PIN, without it, reset is the only way to escape Kid mode.
