Can't see Facebook "liked", screen black while on call

Currently I have two issues I'm trying to resolve. One being with the Facebook app, I am unable to see who "liked" a status I posted nor can I figure out how to "like" someone's comment to a post.

Also, when I am on a call the screen appears to go black and I can't figure out how to get back to the call. It only seems to reappear when the caller disconnects.

I hope I don't sound too terribly android ignorant but this is my first android phone so I'm fumbling through this!

The android Facebook app is crap that's why you don't see it. The screen goes black because there's a sensor that turns off the screen so that your face doesn't accidentally push buttons.

I typically use my Bluetooth and the phone is away from my face. Is there another reason it may be going black?

FWIW, you might want to look at the Friendcaster app -- I'm new to Android with this phone, but I'm liking it better than the Android one.

Misfitting case or screen protector covering the proximity sensor? The prox sensor should only be active during a phone call.
