Can't see WhatsApp or Skype on my list of Apps

Just got my new Pioneer AVIC-F80DAB fitted and everything seems to work really well, but I can't seem to see beyond 3 apps: Audible, Google Play for Music and Spotify.

I've uninstalled the apps on my phone (Galaxy S5 - on Android 6.0.1 - there's an update waiting, but I'm loathed to install it as I've had problems on the last 3 installs), and reinstalled them from Google Play.

But no joy.

Anyone else had a similar problem and found a fix? According to the Android Auto website, I should seek help on the App's website..... there's nothing on either about Android Auto.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I think the only apps you can "see" are the music apps. The other apps work with Android auto in that you can get a message notification, but you can't access the app within Android auto.
