A few weeks ago I purchased a nexus 4, my service provider is t-mobile and all of a sudden i'm having a problem sending picture messages .. :mad:When I first started using the phone it worked perfectly! But now for the past week it's not been working. I contacted customer support on the issue and they told me to call technical support. I have not called them yet because i'm hoping to get the answer I need on here.

What I have done so far is change the APN settings, even created a new one with the help from the t-mobile customer service and there was no luck. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem? Any other information needed please let me know. Thanks.

Hey! Welcome to the club. I'll give you some advice since I too am on T-Mobile .... Use data! Turn that sucker on! It fixed most of the issues in sending and receiving MMS texts. My latest issue is even when my data is on, I am still having difficulty sending and receiving simple texts. No pictures, just text. I called Google and they are sending me a replacement. So yea, if u haven't done so yet, turn on data. If that fails, call T-Mobile and troubleshoot it. They are pretty good, but if its the phone then its googles problem.

That's what I don't understand about this whole problem. My data is on. So instead of going through T-mobile you went straight to google to get a new one?

Yes, but only because I had several other issues. Like freezing and crashing. I basically told T-Mobile that I refuse to call them each and every couple of weeks to troubleshoot when my n4 became grumpy and decide to not send texts. So I went straight to Google. And they are GOOD!. Yea, so if u have data on and u have tried the troubleshoot with T-Mobile then give Google a call. Out of curiosity, does any error msg pop up saying that your msgs aren't going through?

Ewww, that's the exact issue I had. Try deleting some threads and retry sending. It worked for me but its frustrating because its like the n4 ran out of storage memory or something and can't send. Not sure why it does this but sounds like its defective software. What I did was rebooted my n4 and when it came back all the texts that had said sending...sending... came up with a big red triangle w/ an exclamation point inside.

That has happened a couple times, where it couldn't send a text message, when its had service and everything I just don't get it. I've tried everything I can possibly think of. Rebooted the phone, restored back to the factory settings and changed APN settings and nothing has seemed to work. But hopefully Google will be cooperative enough to fix this issue seeing as I didn't buy the phone directly through them.

They won't fix the issue. Rather instead they will simply replace the device. I don't know how it works for purchases outside of Google as I went directly to them for my purchase as it was cheaper than T-Mobiles ridiculous mark up price. If u went through T-Mobile, the exchange may be through them. Call Google, its a device issue regarding the text msgs.

FWIW, Nexus 4 does not like two APN. If you have two showing, reset to default. here's a screenshot of my T-Mobile APN

Me and my wife both had this issue, we simply restarted our phones. We shut them off, wait a few minutes and turned it back on. It worked for us!!! Also, if that doesn't work, call Google, they are waaay more helpful than net10, and they can run a trouble shoot for you that may fix the issue.
