Cant send text messages on Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3

I can make and receive calls, i can receive texts but i can not send texts. I have taken my phone into Verizon and they dont know what to do. Every once in a great while, it will squeak one or two texts out but only after trying forever.

When you send a text message it just has the circle loading/sending thing under the text message and it is like that forever. it was working fine until a couple of nights ago.

what would do such a thing to my phone?

Just tried both. It sent one text and then stopped working again.

See if you can update the PRL by pulling the battery and the SIM card for about 10 seconds, then reinserting both. https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/784192

Verizon did that but i will try again.

Just did that and it didn't update the PRL at all, didn't fix anything either.

Hmm. Have you tried different SMS apps?

Yes I spent 2ish hours in Verizon where they tried multiple.

UPDATE: i factory reset the S3 and it worked for about 5 hours and then it stopped working again. not sure what the issue is...
