I charged the phone overnight but in the morning the phone won't boot or switch on . Only samsung galaxy s3 logo is displayed . Tried taking out the battery and rebooting but so far nothing happened. Please help !

When you reinstalled the battery did the phone vibrate and attempt to power on w/o you pressing it on?
If not, try to boot into recovery mode, wipe cache (not factory reset) then reboot.
