I have tried the V CAST™ Media Manager which didn't seem to do what I expected it to do & other tips & tricks I have seen online.

I'm used to the ease I had w/ my blackberry & this seems so much more difficult.

Shouldnt I be able to simply go back & forth just using my usb cable???

The VZAccess manager tells me it doesnt detect my device even though it's plugged in the usb of my pc

I had the same problem. Youre missing the device driver.

What I ended up doing to get it to work was take everything off my sd card>reformat the card on the computer>restart the computer with the phone plugged into the usb.

When the computer restarted it automatically installed the device drivers. Then you can put everything back on the sd card. All you need to do is plug the phone into the usb port and tranfer the files directly to the phones sd folder. You dont need vcast or any other programs. Just make folders on the sd card for your media like videos, music, ringtones, etc...

Thanks. I'm looking up instructions on how to but if you can tell me how to, thats even better:cool:

Actually, I have no idea on how to get to the SD card. Instructions online say turn it off & pry up the back cover at the bottom using your fingernail but I cant get it that way. Is this the only or the correct way?

Yes. Push and slide the battery cover off and remove the battery(pulls out). The sd card will slide out to your right.

Have you tried just connecting it to the PC and treating it like a thumb drive or any other external drive? I am assuming you have, but just in case you didn't.
I don't use any Verizon software. I just move the files manually between the DInc & the PC.

All I do is plug my phone to pc and select mass storage mode on phone. Then I drag and drop files to my SD card. Was that the question or did I misread the op?

Oh and if you have a Droid incredible then all you gotta do is unmount SD card from settings>SD card and phone storage> unmount SD. It will then say safe to remove SD... then you take off battery cover and the SD card is on the side of the phone. Just push it in to release and pull it out. Hope that's what you were asking.

When you attach the phone to the computer via USB there will be a popup on the phone that asks how you want to connect. Select "mount as disk drive" and then you can view the folders on both the SD card and the phone's internal memory. Just drag and drop to where you want and voila....

For transferring small (or few) files back & forth, I bought a small USB Bluetooth dongle for my PC (less than $20 at Target or Wallyworld). On my phone, I turn Bluetooth on, and just right-press the file and Send. To receive was a bit trickier though for some reason. My phone won't receive files unless I am using an app (from the market) called Bluetooth File Transfer. This is what works for me. Hope this helps.
