Can't unlock phone after it got wet

Well this is annoying..dropped my Nexus 4 on a wet floor yesterday. Seems the touchscreen doesn't work only on specific part of my screen..which happens to be part of my unlocking code. Can't turn it off...the power off message is also located on the part that doesn't work..this is driving me insane..I know the solution is to replace the screen but is there a way to unlock it as is?

Unfortunately there isn't a way. Have you looked at options to replace the screen?

I guess there's no way around it..

thought I at least ask if there's a way to unluck it to check my 200+ whatsapp messages I can't open...
