Can't unlock the screen

Hi,

I just got a Samsung Galaxy S5. I have no idea what I've done with it, but I now cannot unlock/swipe the screen. Whenever I try an "eye" icon comes up at the top. I can't even turn the phone off because nothing happens when I touch the screen.

As I said I only just got the phone so I'm completely clueless about it.

Any ideas what I need to do?

Thanks,
Cheryl

Well I wasn't in such situation, but first of all I would wait for my phone to run out of battery. Then I would recharge it and see what will happen. Maybe it isnt advice that you need, but I hope it will help you. Good luck. 👍

Shut the phone down, open the bacl, pull the battery and restart. That usually will take care of these sorts of things.

The eye is probably from smart stay setting. Long press power button and restart. If that doesn't work pull battery for a little bit.

I don't know if anyone has experienced this but I have the Galaxy S5 and I have set the finger print lock on and now it does not recognise the alternative password for me to change the screen lock. Any suggestions on what I can do?
