Can't update to 7.1.1

I don't want to clean everything up. There has to be another way
Other than getting a replacement device (no guarantees there, particularly it it's a refurb) there really aren't any other ways.

There are tools you can use if you don't want to fiddle with ADB but frankly they're not always all they're cracked up to be.

Hey so I finally managed to update my phone manually.
During the process they asked me to bootload-unlock my phone (or something like that). Now how do I lock it back again? I read somewhere that it's recommended to do that.

You didn't mention which tool (ADB, NRT, etc) you used to update your device, but whichever one you used should provide a way to relock the bootloader.

It's certainly worthwhile doing unless you plan to frequently fiddle with loading firmware - in that case it's probably not worth the extra steps each time you want to do that.

I used ADB. And no, I don't want to mess with the system. It's just a one time thing where I had to update my system.

Hey so this didn't work. Can you take me step by step on how to lock the bootloader? The phone keeps asking me to do that every time I restart it.
