Can't upload highlights to HTC Share

like everyone else, i'm furiously trying to learn the best way to utilize the cool Highlights feature on the HTC One. i've created and saved a couple highlight videos, but i can't upload them to HTC Share. anyone else having this problem?

i created an HTC account and logged into it on my phone. i made and saved a couple highlight videos. when i go to gallery -> my photos -> albums -> video highlight, and i click "share", the blue "HTC Share" option is the first option. when i click it, it asks me to "Select up to 10 items". if i select any of the videos (a single one or multiple ones), and click next, i get the message "Video is not supported: HTC Share is unable to upload video file."

can anyone shed some light on this?

also, is the website " https://share.htc.com " supposed to load anything? when i try to load the site, all i get are the little animated blue rectangle/boxes under the HTC Share logo but nothing else.

hmm, i wonder if this is part of the problem?

according to this HTC faq, when i click "share" i should have an option called "HTC Zoe Share". i only have "HTC share". hmm ..

nevermind. that's not it -- i can "HTC Share" still pictures and zoes. i CAN'T share videos i shot with the camera, or highlights i created with the gallery. both generate the same error message "Video is not supported: HTC Share is unable to upload video file."

it doesn't seem to be a problem with the video file itself, as i can upload it to youtube or picasa from the phone.

help!

It seems a little confusing but is actually really easy: it does it automatically if you share from the event. As near as I can tell, HTC share does not support videos that you've shot with the phone, but it DOES support video highlights. go into the event whose video highlight you want to share, and hit share -> HTC share. it'll ask you to select up to 10 (non video) items. Select at least one, and hit next, and it will automatically include the video highlight (you can deselect the video highlight by tapping it at the top of the window). Finish out the process by giving the share a name, and it'll convert and upload the highlight video.

thanks for the clue, but yes, it actually is very confusing. well either confusing or buggy, or both.

1) i CAN upload video highlights
2) i seem to only be able to upload video highlights while in the "Events" selection, and not from "Albums" (and therefore, not from the 'Video Highlights' folder, where video highlights that you have saved are placed)
3) out of 4 events on my phone, i can only share the video highlight from 2 of them. i can't quite figure out the rhyme or reason why this is the case. for the events i can't upload the video highlight, it makes no difference if i "save" the video highlight.
4) for the events i CAN upload a video highlight from, it also forces you to upload at least one picture or zoe from that event -- i believe this ends up being the "cover" picture on the htc share site. the weird thing is, i can't ADD any more. i can only upload whatever number of images/zoes that the phone initially shows, even if i have more images in the event.
5) after your phone successfully uploads the video highlight, it gives you a page of various media to share the link to (facebook, gmail, mail, etc). if you select the mail app, the email is blank for the first several times. eventually the text with the link appears. weird and annoying.
6) i haven't found a way to view all your own uploads to HTC share. it seems like each upload is a discreet entity, unable to be linked together with any other highlights you upload yourself.

ok i figured out some more. for the events for which i CAN'T upload the video higlight to HTC share -- if i select any of the pictures/zoes/images and designate even one single one as a "highlight", then i'm able to upload the video highlight to htc sense.

hopefully HTC cleans up this buggy process because the highlight thing is pretty cool!
