Can't use a song as an alarm

On my LG G5, when I try to set a custom sound (MP3 song saved directly on my phone) as an alarm, it takes me to a white empty screen with no choice but cancel or save. What did I do wrong?

Using your favorite file browser app, put a copy of the song in the "/Alarms" folder and see if it works from there.
