I don't disagree that it needs to be marketed but the controlling powers at LG aren't going to throw tens or hundreds of millions of dollars at advertising when the mobile branch is losing money.
I often question how much advertising dollars actually compare to revenue earned. I know brand recognition in general is important but once you gain that in the market, I question how effective are continued advertising dollars.
I may not be the norm, but I can't think of one phone I actually bought because I saw it in a commercial or other advertising medium. I buy phones and most of my products by research. I'll bet most of us they frequent AC and other forums do research rather than wait for a commercial to buy a phone.
