Captivate Incoming Text Issue

Hi there, I've had my Samsung Captivate with AT&T for awhile, and this has been a recurring problem. Whenever I receive a text from a certain friend, every once in a while the text they send and the text I receive aren't the same. The texts I get don't make sense, but it still forms words, just not the words my friend sends. They're using a iphone 3g also on AT&T. Idk if that helps.

I'm using swiftkey as my keyboard and I recently switched to handcent to see if it would fix the problem, but it is still occuring.

Any help would be appreciated.
