Hi guys,
How is everyone doing?
I just bought a new Ownice K3 android unit for my car and realized that the microphone isn't working, so when I'm calling someone, they can't hear me speaking, nor with an external mic, nor with the built one.
First, I was thinking about the Bluetooth issue, but then I've downloaded a Voice Recorder and try to record myself speaking and nothing. So the problem is in the mic itself.
There is any way to fix it? Maybe software or something? Cause it's a real pity.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

It could be the mic or an issue inside the module. If you can, try another mic. You will either need to return the mic or everything if another mic doesn't work.

Did you disconnect "cable 16" (the wiring diagram in the user manual)? If not, you have to [lug in a compatible external mic. (If that still doesn't work, you got a defective unit - arrange for a replacement or a return. For over US$200, it should work out of the box.)

(Bluetooth doesn't enter the picture here, unless you paired a headset with the K3. It has an internal mic, and a cable for an external one - which you have to remove to get the internal one working.)

Thanks,
So, if I got you right, I have to unplug and remove the connection cable for the external mic from the unit's board in order to check the built-in mic functionality? Before i'll connect the external one with the connection cable, right?
