I don't think anyone is over analizing anything. But when you talk about people being "responsible" or make it seem like it's sooooo wrong to talk while driving, some people can get offended. I talk, text and do everything on my phone.......WHILE DRIVING. Never came close to an accident. But I also know that not everyone can do that. Is it recomended to do that, of course not. Is it a law in some states, yes it is. But I know I can, and my experience has proven that. You have some people who can't walk and chew gum at the same time. THOSE are the people that shouldn't be text, talking ect. while driving. There are also people who get into accidents WITHOUT using their phone......for whatever reason.
Past and current experience doesn't predict or guarantee future experience.
I can do it too, that doesn't mean that my concentration is no longer "on the road." My attention would be on the text or call and not the road where it needs to be.
Your argument is like saying "I drive drunk on a regular basis and not had a problem, so therefore I can keep doing it without a problem." It'll be a sad day for someone if you cause an accident that kills someone.
