Car Mode

Hey guys and gals!

Anyone know of a USB cable that's compatible with the M9 that will automatically put the phone in car mode?

It would be useful without having to shell out the £30 from the HTC store!

I tried a couple from Amazon that claimed to invoke car mode none worked.

Finally found a "genuine HTC" cable on ebay that did work. Don't know what is special about HTC but they must do something a bit different.

Now..a workaround that I am actually using instead of the cable.
AutomateIT (or Taskr I would assume), allows you to do a bunch of things using triggers..like when you connect to SPECIFIC bluetooth...For instance your car.
Mine senses when connected to my car and then does: (slightly different string when attached to BT in my wifes car.)
Sets device sound to MAX
Disables WIFI
Screen Brightness to MAX
Starts WAZE
Starts CarHome Ultra
Starts NPR ONE app
Starts GPS

Then when disconnected a different "rule" undoes all that and sets it back to Wifi on.
