Case for your Maxx

skatergirl, would it be possible to post some pics from the Incipio case? I was eyeing the white - grey one on Amazon. It looks similar to the Trident Aegis cases for the Droid Razr MAXX HD, which is my preferred case on my current phone. (Looking to upgrade to the Droid MAXX sometime.)

On a suggestion I saw in another posting I ordered this case. Looks like it has a nice feel too it and will protect the screen if the phone is lying face down. Oh, and its only $7.50 with shipping.

Interesting... I wonder how it will compare with the Diztronic TPU case. Think you could post some close ups of the case when you get it in? One issue I have with the Diztronic (which is so extremely minor) is that just a hair of the device sticks out on the bottom of the charger port.

Also not sure how I would like the circles on the back. If they're indented, they could get a little dirty over time. Hm, might pick it up just to see.

I just got the Otterbox Commuter from Verizon's online store. A smooth 25% off because I'm affiliated with a university. Anyway, here are my two cents...

I loved the Otterbox Commuter for the Droid RAZR Maxx, so I was excited to pick this one up. However, I have to say, this case is very disappointing. Maybe it's because the RAZR Maxx was a bit smaller, so I was used to a smaller device in general, but man, this thing feels like a small brick in my pocket. And the added girth makes an already large phone a bit too large for me. Also, the case makes the side buttons (power and volume rocker) much more difficult to push. This was not at all an issue on the older case.

This will probably get returned to Verizon...

That case looks pretty good.. Would love to hear updates once it arrives..

I got the speck...... grip is awesome, best I felt out of the others my local store. Protection looks decent enough for the occasional fall. But the grip is what sold me.

So sorry for the delay.

These pictures from Amazon are really good.

Odd...I thought the commuter on this phone was perfect. To each his own, I guess, but I think it is the best commuter I have had on any device (iphone 4s, iphone 5, galaxy s3, droid x, etc....). It has a great fit, I no longer worry about dropping the phone, and it doesn't add much bulk. Just enough protection, in my opinion.

I run (for exercise) with my phone in my pocket. The Maxx with a bumper case is fine; with the Commuter, it's just heavy enough (and top heavy enough) to swing around very uncomfortably. Even other times, the case makes the phone that much heavier and thicker that it becomes a bit of a burden to carry in a pocket.

I may try the Commuter one more time, because I like the idea of the port protection, but it's a bit like the straw that broke the camel's back. This phone is heavy enough that just that more weight becomes hard to handle.

Thanks for the pics, bro. And although the price of the case itself may have gone up, I noticed that it is now eligible for Amazon Prime (which I have) so free shipping for Prime members. So it evens out.

I'll second that opinion. Had a chance to test feel it in the store and he is correct: very good grip. One of the best I've ever felt.

If only it came in some better colors!

The only one that doesn't look to be specifically designed for women is the all black one. Really wish they had a red/black.

Same goes for the Otterbox cases. Glacier is out (I hate white cases), and Lily is just horrendous. Hornet isn't terrible, but too flashy for me.

Though my all-time favorite is the Seidio Surface line. Full protection. Completely covered in soft touch. Nice and thin. Also usually available in some nice colors (red, blue, green). I really like their Garnet Red. Just not available for the MAXX.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this one, but I ordered it last night for my Ultra that's on its way. It's the Speck Candy Shell Grip. They make it for the Maxx as well and I think it's a good looking case even though it probably covers the phone up too much for some. Comes in black and a two tone blue. Got the blue myself. Looks nice and grippy and I'm hoping it's not too bulky.

Think I might snag that speck, I'm using a incipio feather but I want more protection with out bulk.

Nice case. Let us know what it feels like when you get it.

I ordered the feather but never used it because I wanted a little more protection. I am using the dual pro case now, which does offer more protection but not more bulk.
