Re: Best Cases for Pixel 3
Received my 3xl replacement unit yesterday and thankfully, everything seems to work well so far.
Sim card worked immediately upon installation.
Anyway, since this was the 2nd 3xl that I received, I already had 3 cases in my possession and I've tried them all in less than 24 hours. LMAO!
I tried the caseology clear waterfalls case and it fits and looks good. I bought it with some crazy coupon someone pointed out and I only paid $1.30 for it. I like it, but I may never use it again because the 2nd case I tried was my Spigen thin fit and I just like it better. I bought this case first when I ordered my original 3xl on announcement day. It feels good, has great grip and has just enough lip to put the phone face down without issue. The only thing I'm not loving is that the power/volume buttons are exposed and are a little difficult to press at times. I don't mind that they are exposed, mind you, it's the way they are recessed that makes it a little harder. But I do like the case and I'm rocking it today at work but I'll be changing it when I get home this afternoon.
And this is because my third case is the Google Fabric in the fog color. I have a black 3xl.
I loved this case on my 2xl and it's actually improved on the 3xl.
I believe it is ever so slightly thinner and they are now covering more of the bottom of the phone which, for me, makes it more comfortable to use as I hold it a certain way that made last years case dig into my finger just a little bit. I'm a baby, but it did dig in and bother me.
The fabric case is by far the winner here for me and granted, it's way more expensive, so it should be. I did get a deal at Best Buy who matched a verizon promotion that was going on about 10 days ago so I saved $10.
I'd like to tell you that I won't be buying any more cases but I'd be lying.
For my troubles in ordering the 3xl, I received an extra $50 store credit and plan on buying either the caramel or black Bellroy leather case for a change of pace.
I also may have to pick up the Rhinoshield bumper when it is available. I've had it for my 2xl and my nexus 6p and it is just the best for drop protection. I'm not committed to that yet so we'll see when it is available.
