Cases for the HTC One

Does anyone have a black HTC One with the glacier or steel blue otterbox commuter case? If any of you do, would you mind posting them?
I was just wondering how they would look.

I have the Otterbox in glacier white. Looks really good with the silver HTC One.

558 posts about putting plastic cases on an aluminum phone. Ironic. The majority of HTC fans I spoke to HATE plastic with a passion. Now the most popular thread in the HTC One forum is about cases to cover up that beautiful aluminum. Interesting. I want the One, but I don't think I could put a case on it.

Good point. But at least we're seeking to protect the beautiful HTC One, unlike the folks with an SG4 who will be hastily trying to cover up the cheap plastic Samsung's.

Just got my third case delivered today..

So far I have a rocketfish snap case that is like a barely there, the seido surface and now the diztronic tpu matte smoke.

Out of all of them, the Diztronic I think may be my favorite, for $10.99 it adds full protection, a nice lip to protect the screen,it's transparent so you can see all of the Ones design features and its matte finish feels great in the hand. Best of all the case adds the same kind of bulk as a barely there which for me is perfect.

I want to be able to know that if I accidentally drop the phone it will have just enough protection and the edges are fully protected.

Yup, Me too.
I picked up the Black and Red ones on Amazon for $9.88 each. It took 16 days for delivery since they came from China and had to go thru customs.

They are beautiful. extremely thin and no coverage for the top or bottom. I also have the Incipo Shine case but these Nillkin cases feel better. My HTC One feels like it doesn't have a case on it.

Got a black on on eBay, it came in 4 days. I like it as it keeps the phone slim. I hope they can make one in clear plastic.

Personally, I don't hate plastic. It can be done well (look at high end Nokia Lumia's for example). Certain popular manufacturers just haven't figured out how yet. I was also in the camp of not wanting a case on it, then I dropped it on concrete and got to big, ugly gashes on the front. Double Dip for me please.

So I ordered a Spigen "HTC One Case Ultra Thin Air" case on Thursday, and haven't gotten an email saying that it has been shipped. Couldn't sift through this entire thread to see if it's back ordered or something to that extent. Could anyone verify if they have gotten this case in a relatively timely manor?

They are not very good communicating status, your order just shows up. I ordered my case 4-6-13 and got it 4-25-13

I don't care about the S4. This thread has nothing to do with that phone. Please don't bring it up unless there's a reason because it makes you look bad when you're constantly feeling like EVERYTHING about the One has to be compared to the S4. Like I said, if you buy a phone because it's "beautiful" then why put a case on it? Who cares if it's hideous or beautiful if you're covering it either way? That's the only point I was making. If you plan to buy a case, then you should always look for the best internals and not get suckered in like Apple does to their customers by worrying more about the look of the device. Unless of course HTC released a case that looked identical to the phone itself.

I'm using the HTC leather slip case that was made for the One X. It fits perfectly, protects my phone when it's not in use and when I actually use my phone it's bare. Personally, there is no way I'd cover this phone with a bumper or "permanent" case.

Apologies for any offence caused. I was only making a comparison as the SG4 is widely viewed as the main competitor. I agree wholeheartedly with your view that why should we put a cover on such a beautiful phone as the One...... until of course we drop it lol

I've become a fan of Diztronic. I purchased this for my gf's One. I already use their cases on my MAXXHD and my sister's RAZR M. It protected my MAXXHD when it took a 4 foot nosedive onto the concrete sidewalk. No damage to the phone or case! Plus it is thin, preserving the svelte design of current phones, and has a screen lip assuring the screen doesn't touch anything when face down.

I used to used the Seidio Surface case, but find the Diztronic to offer similar protection while costing 1/3 the price, and can take much more abuse.

For those that need more protection, I have the Otterbox commuter case on my other sister's S3 since she apparently has 2 left hands. The defender is extremely bulky. I also considered the casemate Tough case and the Seidio Active.

I have the Cruzerlite case and the Speck Candyshell. I love that the candyshell has the rubber lip that sticks out and protects very nice when putting the phone face down.

I dropped mine on pavement a few hours ago. Left a few nicks on the aluminum... I hadn't dropped a phone like that in years... so I didn't think I would ever need a case. Guess which thread I'm reading up on lol

I always get one thicker case and one TPU. The Speck Candy Shell in white just looks beautiful on the Silver HTC One and adds just a little bulk and offers excellent protect. For the TPU thinner case, I always, ALWAYS, go Cruzerlite. I chose the Androidified Smoke color. I like all three versions they have for the One, but I chose smoke in the Androidified version because it is darker but still see through, but won't turn a yellowish color like clear cases almost always do. The other reason I chose the Androidified one over the other two is because of the extra grip it has on the sides. Feels great in the hand.
