Cases for the HTC One

I have the glacier white Otterbox Commuter on my HTC One and it's bomb proof. However it does add considerable bulk and annonimises the beauty of the One.

I hereby swear allegiance to incipio cases. I can fully attest to how well they protect the phone, specifically the Frequency case.

I had accidentally tossed my phone out of my car trying to swat at a moth that flew in as I was trying to set up bluetooth parked in my garage (it's a funny story *now* - the door was open, indoor light was on at night...). The phone FLEW a good 2-3 meters away and went as high up as 2 meters off the ground, and I let out a gasp that must have woken up the neighbors. It fell on smooth concrete.

Absolutely *NOTHING* happened to the phone. Nothing. Not a scratch. Even the case looks unscathed. The device works perfectly. This happened the very day I got the phone and I've been on vacation since then (currently in Paris, woohoo), and I was a bit scared that the camera's inconsistency was due to the "accident", but reading on the forum leads me to believe that it's a normal thing. I can still take amazing pictures, as I'll try posting soon in the picture thread, but sometimes the lens just won't focus properly on what should be a pretty straight-forward picture (happens about 30% of the time). I've taken a good 200+ pictures since then, so I know it's fine. I haven't had any update pushed through, either (HTC One Dev edition)

People, Incipio Frequency. I can't recommend it any more than what I'm trying to convey in this text. That case saved my phone. It has great feel in hand, protects the front of the phone from contact, easy to pull out of my front pocket (won't stick), and looks good to boot. If you're still undecided or aren't fully happy with what you have now, give this a shot. You won't regret it.

Is it true about that double dip flip case, the paint of the case wears off onto the edges of the phone? I could have sworn I read something like that. Please correct me if I am wrong. I had one on order, but canceled and went for the hard shell instead.

I've not had that happen at all

Seidio active is the way to go. It does not add a lot of thickness to the phone and the rubber has good grip to it.

I can't recommend the Seidio surface however. Although I love the case it self, I believe mine was defective and it cannot be removed from the phone. I've always purchased Seidio products in the past and have never had an issue, this one however I cannot get off.

I'm personally hoping for the Otterbox Armor Series to come out for the HTC One. I love the LifeProof case my friend has for iPhone and the Otterbox Armor Series is very similar.

I don't mind the slight bulkiness as my hands are stupidly large. Anyone know if Otterbox is coming out with it? I've tried contacting them NUMEROUS times via email and phone and haven't gotten a single response.

I'd love a nice clear case with a thin kickstand. Dont really want to hide the phone. The ones on eBay the kick stand is thick and isnt very visually appealing IMO.

I just purchased the Incipio Feather Ultra Thin Snap-on Case (HTC One feather Ultra Thin Snap-On Case)

I absolutely love it...I think it is about as minimalist as a case could be and still provide decent protection. The case is a soft touch case that repels fingerprints and feels really good in the hand. It makes the phone feel very solid (as if it had to do that!) and leaves the phone feeling thin and looking great! The case fits very snugly so I would think that it will hold on in the case of a drop. The case extends beyond the top and bottom of the phone and provides a slight lip of protection on the front for the screen. The only negative is that the volume rocker is a little awkward to access, but definitely not a deal breaker!

I have the Nillkin version of this, it's great but now I want this...

Here is the spigen ultra clear case:

Sorry I don't know how to attach images! I don't know why the pics are upside down!

I have the spigen clear case. It's beautiful and can see the beauty of the phone while protecting it. Also the ports are easy to get at. Also comes with s screen protector.

I find the Otterbox very ugly and bulky. Why get beautiful phone and cover it so completely you can't see it.

Just got the red/grey double dip case. So far seems OK with a good tight fit. Personally I like the colour and I like precision cut outs for holes, ports and grills.... especially the camera lens and flash.

Not trying to add bulk like blackfryar mentioned. The phone has a beautiful design, I want to keep it that way.

Nexus 7.

I have the Spigen clear slim case. I highly recommend you do not waste your money on it. The thing has sharp edges all over it and it is a dirt magnet. It hasn't cut my hands but it feels like it will. Dirt and dust get behind it and makes the phone look nasty. The cut outs and the ends of the case are very rough.

Just picked up the Platinum Kickstand Case from Best Buy. I really just needed something temporary until the Nillkin arrives, but it's actually not too bad. I had a gift card, so it didn't cost me anything. I like the soft matte finish and all of the buttons are easily accessible. Could be a nice backup case!

because is the only case that offer protection, i know is ugly bulky but it can save you from scratches or broken screen, etc... i've used lots of "good looking thin cases" but all those pretty cases can't save you from a drop. i have otterbox defender and commuter and they save me lot of times from drops.

Because believe it or not, some of us buy phones for what they do, not to show off the outside to people. I prefer my phone works rather than be a shiny conversation piece.

Amazon delivered my new Speck CandyShell Grip today. Easy to get on & off as I will be using the case 50% of time & naked balance.
