Cases for the Nexus 6P

Just pulled the trigger on the Verus case with a red bumper. It's linked somewhere in the thread. Saw a dude got a damaged one, that sucks.

I ordered the electric blue one and the bottom cutout for the charger cable is too small... I had to contact verus and they said they would send out a replacement free of charge when they received the revised cases in Stock.. Just letting you know yours may very well be one of the defective cases

I filed my USB C opening a little and it works fine now. Got a note yesterday that the revised replacement has been shipped.

Yeah I got in touch with them about it and they're going to send a revised one once it's available.

What's everyone's opinion on the clear spigen cases? Does it turn yellow like other clear cases do? Will it be super glossy? I want to get the aluminum 6p but if the black rugged armor is a better choice then I'm not going to wait for the alum 128gb to come back in stock.

I ordered it and it should get here this week. It was marked as shipping on Friday. I can take pictures and post them when I get it.

I'll let you know. Ordered this as well as another clear case, the Moko Halo since it was on a $1 promo. Now I'll have 2 clear cases for the price of one.

I went ahead and bought the Spigen Rugged Armor to go with the Unicorn Beetle Pro I bought. Next is the Poetic Revolution, when it comes out.

I don't see the point in them. My soon-to-be-replaced-by-the-Nexus-6p phone has a Gorilla Glass display, and after 2.5 years of riding caseless in pockets with coins and keys, there's literally not a single scratch on it.

I had microscratches on the GG on my S6a in a matter of days just in and out of my pocket.

Though not Spigen, the Ringke Fusion is very similar (hard/TPU combination). Too early to tell about the yellowing, but so far looks as good the day I bought it.

Incidentally, I've owned a hard clear case before (Spigen Ultra Fit) for my Nexus 5, and it never yellowed. Micro scratches at the back of the case, but better the case than the phone itself. ☺

Hi all, hoping you can save me a little time as there are 15 pages here and not many reviews for 6P cases yet on Amazon. I got the Adopted from Google and I am not pleased with it, a little plain, thick, and just unaesthetic IMO. I always liked the Spigen Neo-Hybrid cases with the two piece rubber-plastic setup, good looking cases that seemed to offer decent protection without adding a ton of bulk. I don't see an option like this for the 6P, unless I am missing it? Or what is a good option that is a similar mix of protection without adding much bulk? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat... Looking for cases. I like the Google Store Nexus 6P case with the design, but that's sold out... So I'm torn between the Spigen Rugged Armor and the Ringke Fusion.

The Verus case on amazon is a near complete clone of Spigen neo hybrid. If you order now, they may send you one with a smaller than necessary charger port, and a replacement later. If you get the early version, you may have to temporarily file down the top and bottom of the bumper for the charger to fit for now. Once this is done, it is a very good case.

Thanks! I've added that one to my list... Haha...

Has anyone purchased the Speck Candyshell one on the Google Store?

I had both for a Galaxy S6 edge. Both are good, but I liked the Ringke better since is was much more slim. It offered enough protection for me, but slightly less than the Spigen.

I want a clear case and can't decide between the SUPcase Unicorn Beetle, Spigen, and Ringke cases mentioned above. I also saw a simple Orzly and Plesson case. They look like a simple TPU case. I found a video on the Ringke case on youtube and it looked pretty good. My phone hasn't shipped yet so I'm hoping to see more reviews too.

I'm going to try a TGSP for the first time. This is an expensive purchase for me and I'd be screwed if I dropped it and cracked the screen.

For those that use dbrand skins, can a rugged case like the Unicorn Beetle Pro still be used with it? Would there be a risk of "choking" the phone that way, hampering the sensors?

Do you have the frost or black one? I'm hoping the frost adopted case is a little see through.

I have the frost Adopted and think its fine. It is definitely decently see through. You can see the Nexus logo just fine. I also have the Speck case. Just got it. Very grippy and not to bulky. Feels like the phone is super protected in it as well.

Which one would you recommend?

for something super low profile that also shows some of the phone off - the Adopted. for something heavy duty, the Speck. they each have their plusses and minuses.

the speck is a good looking case though. let's put it this way when i am going to go out drinking or hiking or out and about the city, i will be using the Speck case. the Adopted for a regular business day at the office/with clients.
