Cases for the Nexus 6P

Got a Ringke fusion case over the weekend and was fairly pleased with the size and look, but the plastic panel on the back started to get slippery like without a case. Got the Unicorn Beatle Hybrid (without screen protector) yesterday and am in love. Although a tad wider, and with worse button traction, this thing has beautiful frosted poly carbonate that maintains good grip. The tpu bumper is also of much higher quality compared to the Ringke. I would highly recommend the beatle hybrid to anyone looking for a small/medium sized case that is compatible with TGSP.

Is there a considerable difference between the Adopted and the Speck in terms of bulkiness? I'm leaning towards the Speck, but can't really tell how much bigger it'll be.

i was surprised but the speck is not too much bigger. It is definitely bigger though.

Yep, rocking one on my 6P now!

I have the Diztronic case and it's fantastic. Provides good protection without adding too much bulk. For the price, you can't beat it. I actually like it more than the official $35 Nexus case.

They are the only case maker I'm loyal to. The only problem with Diztronic is that it usually takes them longer to release their cases than other manufacturers.

Do either of you think the Diztronic will work with a tempered glass screen protector? I have a Diztronic with a tempered glass screen protector on my OnePlus One currently and they seem to work well together. My Nexus 6P is waiting patiently in its box as I am waiting for my screen protector to arrive.

Where is the LED Light on the Nexus6 P?

It is at the top left hand side of the phone, just about exactly half way between the front facing camera and the left edge of the phone, right in line with the camera lens. It's pretty small, but I'm just glad the camera has one at all, and it does the job.

Well, this is a little disappointing, as I just got a message that my Ringke was delivered to my home today. Still, I really just got it as a stop-gap measure until I find something I really like.

I would assume it would; but I don't use screen protectors, so I can't be sure. Sorry.

Would love to see some real pics of the unicorn beetle hybrid. Looks bulky from what I can see on amazon but sometimes that isn't a good representation.

Just a word of caution about the Nexus Case from Google. If you are very particular about the fit and feel with a glass screen protector on you may want to look elsewhere. It is a very tight case and it does work with a tempered glass screen protector but the power button does not feel as nice as it does without the glass protector.

I just used the code and it worked. I had to change the quantity to 2 then apply the code and it took the price of one off.

Just got my Adopted case(black). First time I've used a case on a phone. I like that it makes the fingerprint sensor similar to a Moto dimple. It looks nice. Only issue is screen captures are tricky, but that's sounding like a common case problem.

I have both the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and Rugged Armor in hand and I cannot decide which one I like better. Does the Rugged armor really provide more protection?
How are the edges of the Spigen? Are they sharp? I ask because I had one for my N6 and hated the rough, pointy edges. Like when you cut wood but don't chamfer the edges.

Got my Ringke last night, and it's a perfectly fine case; very grippy on the edges, and the button covers help prevent my car cradle bracket from changing the volume ... but, it just makes the phone look so ... ordinary. I miss my sexy, naked 6P. :( The things we do for love. ;)

I saw & bought some cameraglass protectors from a company called savvies, which make screenprotectors.
The screen protectors generally have good reviews so thought the camera protector might be a good idea (it works in the same way as a screenprotector but just goes across the camera strip at the back).

I was just wondering if anyone has used them before and if they will impede the camera in any way or affect its performance?

They were only a couple of pounds online and i can provide a link if necessary/permitted.

Now that I have this case, I have to say I really like it. I expected it to be frosted, like most clear TPU cases are, but was happy to see it is completely clear (though I could do without the glossy finish). I'm interested to see how it looks once it is covering the phone.

I went to Amazon to look for the clear, like you have and all that comes up is smoke. Did they discontinue the clear or is it on backorder, or is the smoke version the one you got?

Yeah I would like to see that link. Are they made precut for the back camera or do they come in a sheet and you have to cut them? I ordered a case that has the entire camera glass exposed and am a little worried about that.

I got the clear Red Shield case yesterday. Seems like the Verus offers a little more protection. Also think I like it better.

Is that clear Red Shield or "smoke" Red Shield? I've been scouring Amazon looking for a clear one and can find every color but that and smoke. I would like the Clear.

No, I bought a clear -- and that link was for the clear. Not sure why Amazon is no longer selling the clear -- it seems like several people have bought it here and like it, so I would suspect it is backordered and not discontinued. Searching, I'm finding one on eBay (only 1 left), which would seem to support the idea that it is out of stock now.
