Cases for the Pixel XL

Check out the Incipio DualPro cases. It's the only case I buy. I've used them on the iPhone 6+, Note 5 and Note 7. I mount my phones to a RAM mount on my bicycle. During a ride in the Iowa countryside I hit some rumble strips going about 18 mph and my iPhone flew across the pavement. Only the case had some minor scratching. Since that point, that's the only case I've ever used.

Unless you're going for a more rugged case, check them out.

How is the grip on these cases?

I actually just picked one up today. A cool red color. It's got a good feel to it. I got it at a corporate Verizon store so if one is near by, go check them out.. they had about 8 different cases for the Pixel.

I got the official 'clear' official google case. It is not worth the price tag. I know lots of people never think official cases are wotrth their higher price but I am not normally in that camp for what it is worth and am happy to pay a premium for a well fitting OEM that is well made.

The official case is actually not clear, it is two tone, the top is clear and glossy and the bottom matte frosted. It looks nicer than it feels but I dont mind the look, my issue with the back is that the glossy part does create a subtle 'water/oil effect' where is makes contact with the glass top of the phone.

The case is slim, it does have a slight lip so you can lay it on a table but this is actually where my biggest quality gripe is, this feels really cheap. When your finger catch or rubs across that lip the case feels like a $2 case not a $30 case.

The case is nice, good form factor and a subtle way of keeping a two tone look if you like that. But this case is not worth the google premium price. I have a Spigen liquid crystal coming in tomorrow which I can compare to.

I need something with more grip than the Tech 21, any suggestions.?

Anybody hear of this company?

Will do. Thanks

We all look for different things with cases.

For me, I think the Pixel looks large, and any case I get needs to be minimalistic. Making the XL look any bigger can't be a good thing. So I just bought a minimal TPU case to have something to put in on Day 1, giving me some time to shop further. I bought this...

The thinnest I could find as of yesterday.

I'm with you about having a thin case -- Spigen and Ringke had a snap on cover for the N7 and that's what I want for GPxl -- it's super thin, just for scratch protection -- if you find anything like it, please post...

RhinoShield bumpers are shipping. I preordered. Received shipping confirmation this morning.
