Cases for the Pixel XL

He's looked at the otterbox, I've never been that impressed with them but we'll see. I was hoping supcase or spigen would make one.

Yeah I haven't seen either one of them with a case that has a holster as well.

I just got the Google clear case from the Google store and it is way too over priced, is just a flimsy Piece of plastic, I'm very disappointed. I expected a lot more for $30 😠😡
I just got it today, and I completely agree. It's a total piece of crap, and Google should be ashamed of offering it for sale, particularly at $30. It is of freebie, throwaway quality, and if it actually had come free with the phone, I would have probably thrown it away. My son made the spot on observation that it's made of the same plastic that the sporks in his school cafeteria are made of.

I need to find a good case. The Google Store clear case is junk. The Spigen slim armor I have is fine in almost every way, except one -- the raised lip surrounding the phone (that protects the device when it's face down) is sharply ridged rather than curved. That sharp ridge irritates my ear when I'm on the phone. So I'm likely going to return it. (I'm hopeful the clear Spigen ultra hybrid case is not the same because I ordered that after I getting and deciding to return the junky Google Store clear case.)

I've just now ordered the thicker gray case from the Google Store. Has any one gotten one of the colored TPU cases from the Google Store? I don't seem to see any feedback on them here at AC.

Has anyone out there come across a decent leather pocket pouch?
I am coming from many previous BlackBerry devices, where I always had the leather pocket pouch.

I'm getting a cheap Orzly clear case so I can take my time to decide on a good one. Case comes tomorrow, phone on Friday.

The clear Spigen ultra armor case arrived yesterday, and for those looking for a substitute for the dreadful OEM clear case, this is it IMO. It's softer than the Spigen slim armor but provides equal protection. The back is nice and clear and shows off the G. Although I'm normally not one for decorating my phone, I'm getting the light bar and G stickers to put on the back and shine through the clearness.

Yeah. They're now VRS, it was Verus last year when the Nexus 6P came out. It was a rushed case that had bad port sizes, and then the replacement case didn't fit together well, so I have negative feelings toward them, but maybe things have changed.
Well, it doesn't seem like things have changed much.

I ordered one of their cases from Amazon for my Pixel XL. The quality turned out to be less than impressive and the kickstand was flimsy... the case in my opinion was definitely not as pictured on Amazon. Return was authorized, so I printed out the return authorization form and return label, and I sent it back. VRS received it on November 12th. Thus far, I haven't had a word of acknowledgment from them, maybe they're just slow, but I have noticed their cases now seem to be "unavailable" on Amazon.

I won't try their products again.

I went for 2 cases from Orzly as they had a promotional deal on. I bought this black case:

and also a simple clear case (as it was in stock for fast shipping): https://www.amazon.com/Google-Pixel...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5568265

You get that Orzly yet? How's it? I wanted to try a two piece case like that just for a different look from my typical/simpler TPU cases... Caseology's looks spiffy but I don't like their color combos (gold plus whatever or full black, meh), Spigen's Neo Hybrid looks even better but it's not available for the smaller Pixel.

One thing I noticed from the photos is that both Caseology and Spigen seem to have a channel in the TPU for the plastic bumper to slot into, whereas Orzly has the plastic bumper wrapping around the entire side of the device... Probably feels quite different.

Holy cow, those are awesome cases. I really don't like having a case and it is killing me. I tried the MaxBoost mSnap and the lip bothered me too much, speaker cutouts were sharp, and buttons were recessed.

I have a Caseology Vault right now and it feels a little too chunky for me... Not that these cases would be better but maybe the feel of the case would be. The Caseology is a little too rubbery.

I use the Vault as well. I don't believe it to be chunky at all. I'm surprised you find it to be that way. I also don't think its rubbery. It's not cheap rubber in my opinion. I guess to each its own.

I found my favorite clear case - and I have three others. CHOETECH Soft Flexible TPU Protective Case Shock-absorption Bumper Case Anti-scratch Back Cover for Google Pixel XL

The one from Google should have been, as someone said, a freebie throwaway. And, if it had been free I would have thrown it away.

The Spigen is decent. The hard TPU is a freaking fingerprint and smudge magnet. I find myself wiping the case as much as the screen. Supposedly, that little air bubble in the corners provides shock protection, but it doesn't seem all that reassuring.

The Tech21 Evo Check is fantastic for protection and looks pretty sharp. But, pressing the damn power button is like trying to move a building. My thumb is seriously sore from using it.

Then... there's this one. Half the price of Spigen. I figured, hey - for seven dollars what's to loose? It's fantastic! Perfect cutouts; slightly pronounced corners that have a reassuring feel; an ever-so-slight frosting on the sides for grip; tiny raised areas on the front and back to prevent scratching of the screen or back; and the material is a different type of TPU. It feels "softer" more like the Tech21 and doesn't attract fingerprints as easily.

This is going to be my everyday case.

I have an OtterBox for sale if anyone on this thread is interested. Listed in the MarketPlace.

Picked up the OtterBox Commuter yesterday. Damn is this a nice case. By far the nicest OtterBox I have had so far. It is actually really comfortable to hold! Super snug fit, nice sealed ports.
Honestly I am really impressed with this case so far!
