Cases for the S7 edge

I received mine from ebay tonight also. Definitely the official Samsung case. $41.99 free shipping, sent from Florida. Not sure why we are not yet getting these in the US? It is very nice, I will probably use my Otterbox Symmetry for everyday use at work, and save the nice leather Samsung for the weekend.

QUOTE=BIG CAT 7;5136274]Just got this in the mail last night. I am in love.....

Bought it off eBay and all signs point to it being an official leather Samsung case. Very minimal and feels very nice in hand.

Let us know if you get it and how it is. It's tempting but I'm sure it will only work with certain cases. I don't know I think I give up on fidning a tempered glass one and Zagg probably won't make one.

Anyone see this yet? Kind of pricy but looks great in my opinion. Probably easy to install too. I think I'm going to pull the trigger and get one

Yes it has the leather smell. From what I am hearing Samsung is not going to offer these cases to the US. Not sure why but there is someone on eBay selling them and that might be the only way to get them. Case is very nice and extremely well built. Also has a nice supple feel to it.

It's funny you ask about the screen protector.... This is my 2nd S7 Edge. The first one (Silver) I dropped when I was bumped into from behind while taking pictures (by my wife:(). So I blame her.. It left a nice little nick on the screen with about a 2mm scratch due to the fact that it hit a window sill on the fall. That phone didn't have a protector on it. I ended up just buying another phone, this time a black one and sold the Silver cause I couldn't deal with the imperfection on the screen.

I have screen protectors coming today for it and they will go on the new one immediately once I walk in the door from work. Not sure if a screen protector would have saved me on the Silver one but I don't want to take the chance.. The first one still worked and other than the nick was flawless but I just couldn't deal with it being there lol. I know, I know..... Obsess much???? LOL

Let me know how the new screen protector works out and what brand. Thanks.

I just got the Obliq slim metal case for my S7 Edge from Amazon. It fits very well, and rises the screen off the surface just a little bit. It really offers nice protection on the top and bottom, while still allowing the sides to swipable and without adding a lot of bulk. Also wireless charging works just fine using a Nokia DT-900. I may post some pics later. (I mistakenly ordered the gray metallic case, rather than the silver that I wanted. The silver is now on the way, so when it gets here I'll post pics of that, too.)

I don't really understand any of this. Maybe I'm getting old. All I see are a thousand different minute variations on a single case type i.e rubbery back cover with rubbery bits around the edges, leaving the main part of the phone (huge screen!) completely unprotected.

Sorry, I guess that's not true so long as the phone is dropped onto an absolutely flat surface. Then the military grade rubbery bits will absorb the impact. Woo.

But if I drop my phone face down on a standard bit of outside ground, with say, a loose pebble or gravel or whatever, my phone's bollocksed.

What happened to a decent flip-style phone case covering the screen? And not those cheap-*** ones from eBay which clip the phones in place with a crappy plastic bezel that'll snap after a few months of being tossed about in a bag or pocket?

Definitely don't understand opinions from people who have purchased several of these (arguably) similar cases and have preferences on which one they'll use for going to work, then a different one for popping to the shops, and another for going out for a meal.

Am I just finally becoming old and stupid without understanding that it's happening? Why isn't there a case out there that'll actually cover my screen without being a cheap *** 2 quid POS from eBay China?

Edit
So basically, why can't I just buy a UAG case, with that kind of kick-*** protection, but with the addition of a front cover (made of the same rubbery style material) with say, a leather spine and a magnetic catch.

Not that I'm picky = p

Have you seen these?

It may be something that you'd be interested in. Nice leather case with a flip cover.

I had a Piel Frama case eons ago when I had a Blackberry 8700. They were really well made and luxurious cases.

Anyone have one of these ZIZO cases? Looks alot more rugged then my inciprio case which after 3 weeks has become loose around the phone.

I had a Luvvit case on my S7 Edge. It fell not more than 2.5 feet and wrecked the screen. Maybe it was a feak fall - it only fell flat on the floor - but the case failed. These screens are more fragile than most. So I've moved to a Otterbox Commuter but will likely change b/c it can slide across a table with a light push. The search continues

I just came over to the s7 edge from the Note 5 and I got the UAG case, I've had them on my previous phones and found they are the best combination of protection without being bulky.

I am considering getting a Spigen tough armor only because I watch a lot of videos and the kickstand would come in handy.

I was quite disappointed in the Caseology "Genuine Leather" Envoy case, just feels rubbery and in person to me it didn't look nearly as nice or the same as the online photos, I thought the gold metal bezel continued as in a full gold metal bezel but the gold ends and the actual bezel where it meets the phone is a light beige/fleshy colored rubberish bezel(much lighter colorwise as it seems in online photos, looks very strange to me.. I also had Volume button issues but even if there wasn't I just couldn't live with the strange colored beige rubber bezel/slim gold trim/dark brown fake looking leather color scheme..

I picked up the Spigen Tough Armor since I travel a lot and watch a lot of videos I wanted a kickstand. This case is really nice, fits great, feels good in the hand and feels like it is very protective. The kickstand is an invaluable feature for me. I'd have no problem recommending this case. My two favorites so far are the UAG and this one.

You sound like me. Slim armor was right up my alley so I had the same wants as you. Great cases. Enjoy

That's the case (Spigen Tough Armor) I use at work. It does protect the phone, mine has landed on concrete and tile. No issues with the phone, the case has now several dings on the metal back but that's fine, it's doing its job.
And yes, the kickstand is a great feature.

I have looked into leather cases & the the one you posted would be my choice but actually opted for the OBLIQ Meta Silver Slim Fit which is arriving today, Thinking it will look great with my silver S7 Edge.. My present Spigen NeoHybrid(black/silver) looks nice and protects well but to me just isn't as sharp looking enough for such a good looking phone, I'd look for a aluminium case but I understand it would prohibit wireless fast charging..
