I wish the commuter case would work with the Verizon. Would rather have it..

I was told when I called Otterbox that the Defenders do fit Verizon's G2s. I've ordered one so we will see.

Went to oder otterbox defender from them and now the website says it's not compatible with the Verizon version. Two days ago it did not say it was not for the version now it says it. What gives? I called them and girl did not know either. Anyone get the case yet. Does it fit?
Thanks for any help......

I honestly don't understand what would cause the phone not to fit in the case. The only differences between the two phones are the buttons and the thickness because of wireless charging. The buttons shouldn't matter as they are actually thinner on the Verizon version so there will just be some extra space between the buttons and the edges of the cutout. The thickness is negligible as well because it doesn't add that much and my Galaxy Nexus with the extended battery still fit in the normal Otterbox just fine.

I ordered one from them last night. The web site does say it is not for the VZW G2, but I am going to take a shot and see. I like the overall protection from the Defender Series.

I have the dual pro it feels really good. The buttons are great with the cover. I just wish I could find a holster for it as it's a little thick for regular pockets. The back actually feels sort of like the maxx back.

Yes but I got it from ebay and its blue for $11 i think it was.

Its a little slippery but no where near as bad as the g2 . It seems sturdy. I dont put it on my waist or anything , I slide cover over it and throw it in pocker ( jeans ) slides in and out easily. Adds some bulk of course. but the thing i like about it is that I can slide holster cover over it and throw it down anywhere and not worry about screen. I work in construction so I need the protecting. I only wish it had dust covers over the holes so it would be totally sealed. I do have a " nicer looking verizon silicon case for more elegant look but I really enjoy the fact that it can take a wallop , so its my primary case.

oh yes one more thing that sucks.
the cover near camera section. they could have made the protective layer much closer to actual camera lens and flash. theres about 3/8 inch of spacing around those things

I had the Otterbox commuter on the GNex and loved it. I didn't think anything would suffice but the Incipio DualPro is perfect! I got the Black/Black case and the fit is better than an OB commuter. I was pissed paying almost $30 but it was totally worth it.

that is a nice one does it help with button pushing on rear i.e. easier to find press?
I really wish verizon at least had a bigger hump for power

I never really had an issue before but yes the area is larger and slightly easier to discern which button is which. I will say it's harder to smear the camera lens now. Those are small in comparison to the feel of the case and the protection it provides. I don't think there is a better case. I returned the Incipio feather but will keep the $2 Tudio tpu case.

I went with the Dual Pro and love it! Slim but still comfortable with the amount of protection if I drop the phone. Plus it makes it easier to feel the back buttons.

Anyone make a case yet for Verizon g2 yet with covers for the charging an headphone ports. The otter box will when they get here and the incpio looks like it doesn't?

Check this company out - Aegis Case for LG G2 (you can find them on Amazon also). I'm actually surprised this company has not been mentioned, at least not in this thread. The charging and headphone ports are covered as well as a mesh screen over the speakers. This was the main reason I choose a case from this company and I had great luck with one on my old phone. The Trident cases are comparable to the Otter Boxes - generally more emphasis on protection than slimness. At this time they only offer their "Aegis" line for the G2 which is very silimilar to the Otter Box Commuter. Fortunetly for me, the Aegis line is what I prefer. As for other phones, their "Kraken" line is comparable to the Otter Box Defender.

I just received the case last night and overall I'm very happy with it. You'll see on the website that it's not Verizon specific but says it's compatible. The case is just like the picture shows and has the bigger opening around the camera to accomodate the other cell providers. Personally, this doesn't bother me. It seems to fit good even though someone said that the Verizon phones were a bit different is size. My only minor complaint would be the opening around the speakers. The hole is not quite big enough so basically one of the speakers is about half covered. It doesn't seem to affect the sound although I haven't really tested it.

Note: The case comes with a screen protector (which I didn't use) but I noticed that the cutout at the top for the camera and speaker is wider than a Verizon specific one. So basically it would not cover the Verizon logo all the way.

If you're looking for a case that offers good protection with the addition of covered ports yet is not too bulky, this is the case to get. I will say I am intrigued by the Incipio DualPro. It looks like it offers similar protection yet is smaller and slimmer. But just no covered ports...

Received my Incipio DualPro yesterday. Here are a few pics. Great case, 2 layer protection and adds almost no thickness or weight. The lip around the front is to where the screen doesn't touch the surface when it's upside down, but doesn't really affect the ability to swipe from the edge of the screen.

Via Jonesey's G2 from hell, er, Verizon

How does this fare with wireless charging?

My Otter Box Defender came today and I will most likely send it back. It does not work for the Verizon G2. The problem is with the Screen Protection on the Case. There is space in between the G2 screen and the Screen protector of the Case.
