Cases for your Atrix 4g

OtterBox Reflex Series Cases // OtterBox.com

Where is this one for the Atrix? This is pretty awesome!

Two things:

When you take a case like that on and off constantly it causes vertical starching on the back of the phone.

Also these cases will not work with the atrix because it docks horizontally not vertically.

Yeah I agree, I had a case for my old iphone years ago that fully encased it and came apart in the middle like the otterbox one does and after removing it a few times to clean it out, the back of the phone got horribly scratched. The material was harder than the otterbox appears to be though but I would still imagine that constant on and off again would cause problems.

I was kinda hoping that Otterbox would figure out how to prevent that from happening...use some of their voodoo magic.

Another issue I had with these "slide-on" type cases was trying to get them to fit over screen protector and not slide under it and peel it off...ruined 2 invisashields with this type case on my N1. (yeah, yeah...screw me once shame on you, screw me twice....)

Is there a case that will work with the docks?

Just bought the speck case. Hoping it'll work with the laptop dock and multimedia dock.

Someone here posted a pic of the car dock they recieved and it had a thin plastic insert that was meant to take up the room for a case if you had one. It only looked to be as thin as a inivishield, not a regular case though.

Thats one thing I hate about cases, they usually kill functionality with any accessories. Even a invisishield made it hard to sit my Nexus One in the desktop dock. It didnt plug in though, just sat in a cradle and the contacts on the phone touched the ones on the cradle.

just picked up the otter defender case from cor for 34.99 case feels much slimmer then the iphone version but the plastic feels thinner the screen for this phone is bigger vs the iphone plus it came with the holster clip and all

Getting the Speck case for days off, and the commuter Otterbox for work days....still wondering if Otterbox will provide screen protector, if not will definitely get the invisible shield.;)

speck doesnt have one for the atrix.. unless i am wrong but they usually cater to Apple

Why not just rotate the seam 90 degrees?

(Interesting note: iPhone doesnt have the symbol for degree in the keyboard)

P.S. Dont we have an accessory subforum?

Looks like cases in general might not work too well with the tight fit of the docks.

And we should probably move accessory talk to the new subforum soon-ish (prob once the phone is officially out)

picked up a Speck case also, pretty impressed by the quality. I also ordered the Otterbox commuter should arrive later in the week.

Cant wait im sooo excited:D

Anyone check out the screen protectors for the Atrix available at the AT&T stores? If so, how are they?

I think I am going to hold off until this coming weekend before getting a case. The Zagg stuff isn't out yet, and Best Buy will install it w/a money back garuntee. They went through 3 full body kits on my mom's Pre and didn't charge me anything over the initial labor fee. There are a LOT of companies that should have accessories for the device. However, a decent amount have been somewhat quiet about their products. It's odd, but not unheard of.

Well I went ahead and got one just in case at the store, I know I could have saved some money via the internet but wanted to play it safe. Only one they had was the Otterbox Defender. Its ok just too bulky imo. They did not have any screen protectors that fit but the case had its on plastic piece to cover the screen so its a keeper till I find something I like better.

I had them put on the screen protector at the att store and went home and was comparing it to the iphone 4 and was suprised how dim the atrix was. I realized it was the screen protector I removed it and the phone looks great. If you don't want your phone looking really dim I would suggest not to get it.

After seeing a bunch of Gorilla glass videos, Im less worried about putting a shield over the screen.

I still might pick up a case for it, but selections are limited.

I bought a hard tpu gel case from ebay for 6.95 with free shipping, got it yesterday and it is a very nice case. Slides in and out of my pocket easily and collects no lint. But i bought an otterbox yesterday from ebay, looking for something with a clip
