So does anyone have cases like the Unicorn Beetle Pro, Armadillotek, or Youmaker, Poetic Revolution that has the built in screen protector for the Note 9?

I'm just wondering how is it? Is there a lot of air gaps or play in the screen?

I don't, but my brother did for the note 8 and it was a nightmare. Reduced sensitivity at random places (since there air) but most of all he had issues with the iris scanner. That's what ended up making him throw it away.

It's the curved screens that cause big issues with it. The Otterbox Defender for the S7 edge for example used thicker material. It fit VERY tight to the screen. Dust hardly ever got under the protector at all like most defenders. However touch sensitivity was awful on it.

The Armadillotek case is supposed to be pretty good and fits very tight from what I seen to the point there are some rainbow streaks. The Supcase from a couple reviews I saw showed a lot of air gap.

I'm eyeing the supcase and Artek aka Armadillo but then I'd just end up ripping the screen protector out if I hated it. In that case I should just save the money and continue using my Otterbox Defender.

Not sure what it is about those or screen protectors in general, but I can't stand them. I have well made protective cases, but can't have anything on the screen - ocd about it to a point.

Does anyone have the Supcase Unicorn Beetle? BG did a review on youtube the Beetle versus the Defender and said the Defender better quality and built overall. Also showed a lot of air gap in the Supcase with the screen protector.

How is the Supcase for the Note 9 such as the kickstand? Also is the Armadillotek case really good quality liek their Note 5 one was?

Never if the case has a built in protector I always pop it out. they always look ugly and reduce the screen sensitivity

On my Note 8 I tried a Iblason case with a built-in protector. Was scratched within the first couple weeks. Ended up ripping the protector out. I have the Armadillotek on my Note 9. I took out the plastic screen protector and have a Caeology glass installed. Love the Armadillotek case and love the protector!

No, the new OtterBox cases, Defender and Defender Pro for note 9 do not have a screen protector, we had the OtterBox Alpha Glass put on, works perfect with the cases! Can't even tell we have a glass protector on.

I've been using the Armadillotek case for my Note 9 for a couple weeks now. I really like the case overall but decided to switch back to my Defender for now.

First, the built in screen protector doesn't quit sit totally flush because of teh curved glass. This causes it to have a tiny bit of air gap which dust and dirt gets underneath and drives me nuts, plus with the Kickstand it leave the phone exposes a but when you use it allowing dirt to get in there.

Also, the sides of this case are raised which is great! gives more protection but also allows dirt and grime to collect on the sides.

I really like the case and eventually might just rip the protector out. I might try the Poetic Revolution and Supcase Unicorn Beetle out but I'm sure the screen protector will be crappy too and I'll just rip it out.

I can see why Otterbox ditched the built in protector for the curved phones.

They tried it with the S7 Edge. With the S7 edge it fit VERY snug to the phone so no dirt got under it BUT screen responsiveness was atrocious with it. Just terrible.

I might try the Armadillo again. I like the orange one. If I do I will rip the protector out on one of them and save the other for when I'm somewhere where I want a screen protector.

The best thing OtterBox did was to ditch the built in screen protector, they we're always a pain point for me

Armadillo is working on getting a yell... Gold one out. I will definitely purchase when it does. I took out the screen protector.
